ITINERARY

1. Day : Catania

Flight to Catania. Arrival at Catania International Airport and welcome from your companion who will remain present throughout the tour. Transfer to your hotel located in the Catania area. Depending on the time of arrival, accommodation in the rooms. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

2. Day : Etna / Taormina

Breakfast. Departure for the tour of Etna. The landscape changes as the ascent progresses: olive groves and citrus plantations visible at 1,000 meters above sea level give way to oak forests approaching 1,800 meters, then the landscape becomes lunar, with its craters of lava and ash. Arrive at the Wisdom shelter. Free time for a walk in the resort, where a small crater is accessible. Lunch during the excursion. Continue to Taormina, the beautiful medieval city built on a rock overlooking the bay. Its Greco-Roman theatre offers a sublime panorama of Mount Etna and the sea. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

3. Day : Syracuse / Known

Breakfast. Departure to Syracuse, the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily, to discover the Arethusa Fountain, the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Ear of Dionisio with extraordinary acoustics. Lunch during the excursion. Visit the city of Noto and its magnificent Baroque cathedral. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

4. Day : Piazza Armerina / Agrigento

Breakfast. Guided tour of the archaeological site of Piazza Armerina, famous for the mosaic floors of the Villa Romana di Casale. Lunch during the excursion. Guided tour of the Agrigento Valley and its temples dedicated to Hercules, Juno,Castor and Polluce. Hotel located in the Agrigento region, dinner and overnight hotel.

5. Day: Erice / Segesta/ Palermo

Breakfast. Guided tour of Erice, his Castle of Venus, a 12th century Norman castle and the medieval city overlooking the Trapani plain. Along the way, stop optional in a historic pastry shop to enjoy typical almond and nougat pasta cakes. Lunch during the excursion. Visit the fabulous Doric temple of Segesta. Accommodation around Palermo, dinner and overnight.

6. Day : Palermo / Monreale

Breakfast. Visit to Palermo. With 27 centuries of history, the city is discovered following the Vittorio Emanuele Course, the sacred axis that runs through the city. You will see the Piazza Marina, the Four Canti Palaces of Piazza Vigliena, the Tuscan fountain of Pretoria Square, the Royal Tombs and the Cathedral Treasure, the New Door and the Palatine Chapel of the Royal Palace. Lunch in the pizzeria during the visit. I continue to Monreale, which occupies a beautiful position above Palermo and the Conca d'Oro, the plain of the Golden Conca. From Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, adorned with a beautiful Triton Fountain, it is easy to reach the Arab-Norman cathedral and cloister that make the city famous. Return, dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 7: Cefalu’ - Catania

Breakfast. Departure for Cefalu’. Conquered by the Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Normans, the small fishing port nestled at the foot of the Rock has become a jet-set without losing its magic. His imposing Cathedral was sought after by King Ruovia II, after miraculously surviving a storm. Lunch during the excursion. Visit to Catania. In the volcanic stone city of Etna, you'll discover Piazza del Duomo, via Etnea, its main street lined with shops, and the Baroque buildings of Via Cruciferi. Accommodation in the Catania region, dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Days 8: Catania

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time depending on the departure time of the flight and transfer to Catania International Airport. End of our services.
